Bonjour,

Devoirs:

Maths: p.106 handout (#1 a,c (draw your answer!); #2 a,b; #3, #4 a,c; #5) and a) 314 divisé par 6 puis b) 216 divisé par 3

Sciences Humaines: All project word should be typed, printed, cut out (neatly!) and glued to coloured background/border paper-this includes labeled drawings. Bring this work for Tuesday as next week we will assemble the posters in class.

Science: Review vocabulary on new unit (biology/ecology) as we will have a quiz on vocabulary in a week or so and students should be comfortable with all terms.

Note: A parent satisfaction survey has gone home with an online code to access the survey. This is to be completed by PARENTS.

Bonjour,

Devoirs:

Maths:

Three questions relating to division of decimals (please draw the problem as we did for the questions in class today and indicate the method you used whether it was "a" or "b"-both methods explained in notes with examples.

Sciences Humaines:

It is imperative that all work be typed for Egypt project and brought to school (email it, print it and bring it on a memory stick). We have one block tomorrow in class (not the lab). Don't forget to think about hte margins/formatting so the text fits on the poster page. You will need room for labeled drawings, a title and a bibliography as well so keep that in mind as you are formatting each section. Please keep left margins for all work (not centered text). In Vista, you can click on "paragraph" in word to play with the left and right margins size.

le 26 mars 2012

Bonjour,

Sciences Humaines: Just a reminder to bring all written work (everything for Egypt project should be written out or typed as if it were the good copy) so we can edit final drafts, make final corrections and then work on completing the poster portion which will contain written work and images (with headings and bibliography). Please bring a printed copy of work and also the work saved to a memory stick or emailed to me as we will have a bit of time possibly tomorrow but definitely Thursday to make final changes. Work should be typed at home though as lab time at school will be for final editing on alreaday typed work.

Also, bring PE strip tomorrow for Fitness Studio.

Français: Passé Composé worksheet should be completed (I believe) and a reminder to those participating in the Concours D'Art Oratoire that the school competition will take place in the gym on Wednesday afternoon.

Bonjour,

Just a reminder that the science assignment (invention of an energy saving product/service) was due today and many students still need to complete and hand in this assignment.

Also, all written work for Ancient Egypt project must be completed for the first day back after Spring break. Do not use internet sources such as wikipedia. Use information from books taken out of the school and public library or the encyclopedia (available as a link from the Lansdowne library website in French and English).

Tonight, please complete all calculations relating to data analysis for Feb. temperatures as we will be correcting this tomorrow.

Just a reminder that for the next week or so mercury, jupiter, venus, mars and saturn (including rings) are visible in the night sky. Check it out!

Devoirs:

Science: Energy saving invention (described in French and drawn) is due Thursday. Take the time to research the materials used and other similar devices that may already exist so that your innovation/invention is plausible and not too costly/energy needy to create.

Sciences Humaines: please continue to research for sciences humaines project on Ancient Egypt. I am expecting all written work (not just notes but each section written out) by the end of Spring Break for final editing and good copy writing.

Bonjour,

Science: Just a reminder to continue working on your science inventions (something you create that will contribute to energy/resource saving in some way whether it is reducing consumption, finding alternatives to using drinkable water for toilets/washing machines etc., chargine machines via alternative energies to electricity or petrol etc. (Each student has a handout with specific questions to fill in and illustrations to complete).

Sciences Humaines: continue working on researching your projects (Ancient Egypt). Make sure to take home library books signed out so you can do research/reading at home. Also, check out the online encyclopedia (which can count as a "book" as it is a digital format of a printed text).
