Sciences Humaines: Questions due (La Mesopotamie)--both sides of the worksheet. Note that you do not need the textbook for the second side which is more of a critical analysis.

Sciences: Good copy of Rock Cycle assignment is due.

Maths: Ensure that you have completed all the calculations for the October temperatures as they will be corrected in class. I will also be evaluating the graph from October (accuracy, neatness/legibility, ruler used to connect temperatures as a line graph). Also, please bring a geometry set if you have not already got one at school! (e.g. compass, protractor are essential items to have on hand in the coming weeks).

Bonjour,

Devoirs:

Français: Dictée tomorrow...please study!

Maths: Test tomorrow on integers. Please do some practice questions (you can complete a good copy of "everything I know about integers" and go over some of the questions from our review. Just looking at the answers will not help you as much as actually DOING the questions.

Make sure you are confident with the vocabulary for word problems ("difference" and "soustrais" indicates subtraction..."somme" indicates addition). Also, make sure you are comfortable solving questions using a number line, representing concretely by drawing circles AND symbolically (just numbers).

Science: Good copy of rock cycle is for homework. Please ensure it is completed for Tuesday. (This includes a description of sedimentary, metamorphic and igneus rock).

Passe une bonne soirée,

Mme Couture

Bonjour,

Reminder: Please limit the Halloween candy that you bring to school to ONE treat per day. This will help with concentration and ability to focus during class. Also, when you eat a treat, please have it as a dessert (e.g. eat something nutritious before you eat the treat). Thank-you!

Devoirs:

Maths: Work on a revised/improved explanation of everything you know about integers based on my feedback of your first draft and review "Revision du module" to ensure all answers are detailed and complete (re-read the questions to make sure you answered them with the appropriate operation). There is most likely going to be a quiz on Friday.

Bonne soirée,

Mme Couture

Bonjour,

Science: Review concepts of different rock types, the rock cycle and weathering. Be ready to discuss our field trip next class.

Sciences Humaines: Most students have now submitted their assignments (cities...). If you have not, please do so tomorrow!

Maths: Verify the work you have completed so far on our unit review and begin working on completing the temperature calculations (mode, median, average etc). Don't forget to start by listing temperatures from lowest to highest. For those who don't have all of the temperatures, here they are in order from lowest to hightest:

9,10,11,11,11,11,12,12,12,13,13 14,14,14,14,15,16,16,17

Also, I am missing several pink sheets on integers (I asked for you to write everything you know about integers "nombres entiers" and to include examples, drawings and diagrams to show/prove your knowledge). Please get those in to me so I can give you feedback and a chance to add more detail. Our unit test is rapidly approaching (possible this Friday or Tuesday depending on how our review goes).

Bonne soirée,

Mme Couture
