Maths: It is essential to review multiplication of decimals. That means DO questions from the review (please do not look at questions you've completed but rather questions over again without looking at answers and then check your work). There is a quiz tomorrow!
Science: Please come prepared to share what you've found regarding websites that enable you to calculate carbon offsets.
Sciences Humaines: If you have not already completed your "plan" for your poster project on ancient egypt, please ensure it is completed for tomorrow. Also, continue to research topic using BOOKS found in the school library or public library. The focus for this assignment is on researching from printed text rather than internet sites.

Devoirs:
Maths: finish review questions including two problem solving questions for multiplying decimals (remember the two helpful hints I gave you about prices by weight and about ensuring that if you are mesuring in kg then you need to multiply by the price/kg. If the price isn't given in kg you need to change the price from /100g to /kg. before you calculate the cost)
Science: complete the "Where does my food come from" map (indicate items source)
Sciences Humaines: Please ensure you have your poster layout completed with appropriate and specific titles for each section so I can check your planning stage.

Reminder to bring PE strip on Monday. Also:
Sciences Humaines: your layout and subheadings/poster plan for Ancient Egypt project is due on Tuesday. I want to see that you have a clear idea of the layout for your poster and all the topics you are going to cover on your subject (including the actual headings you will use for each section, in French).
Maths: finish questions from the end of today's class (four equations you need to draw and four-five equations you need to calculate).
Science: I would like you to try to find a website where you can calculate your entire carbon footprint (try searching : carbon footprint calculator individual) as well as a site that allows you to figure out how to offset your carbon footprint through exercise rather than paying money. Don't forget some sites show carbon footprint in tons and you will need to convert your footprint from kg possibly to tons.
***SCIENCE CHALLENGE*** For our next challenge (mapping where our food comes from), it is important to record where the food from your next grocery purchase comes from. Try to record at least 10 items (e.g. where were your dairy products, eggs, fruit, veggies, bread, cheese etc. produced or grown?) We are going to try to begin mapping items on Tuesday so if you go shopping this weekend, pay attention to where things originated!

Just a reminder that Block 1 tomorrow is the African Dance workshop on the stage. Please bring a positive attitude and participate with enthusiasm and respect to make the workshop valuable and enjoyable for everyone including our presentor.
Also, gym strip is needed for PE tomorrow.
Sciences Humaines: It is expected that the booklet on Ancient Egypt will be completed by Friday if you have not finished in class. Textbooks can be signed out on the whiteboard so work can be completed at home. Also, begin researching for your Ancient Egypt project using the books signed out from the library today.
