Sciences Humaines: Please ensure that you complete the good copy of your Sc. Humaines project- written portion and drawings. We will assemble it onto poster paper during the first week of January.
The written portion includes the following (also on the yellow criteria sheet that everyone should have in their binders):

Just a reminder to please bring your secret santa gift AND your secret santa christmas card tomorrow for our gift exchange (which will take place after lunch).
Thank-you for an excellent effort for our gingerbread decorating contest. Results will be given tomorrow.
Please ensure that if you have your social studies work saved on a school computer that you email it to your home email address or that you save it to a memory stick tomorrow either during lunch or before school so you can have it completed over the holidays (good copy of writing and drawings must be completed for the end of the break).

Bonjour,
Just a reminder to continue to work diligently on editing your Sciences Humaines written work for the poster on Mesopotamian innovations. Drawings can also be worked on. Remember to check the yellow project explanation handout which has all assignment criteria listed.
Questions to ask yourself when checking your work for simple spelling and verb errors:
Are my explanations detailed with precise vocabulary? Does each advantage have with it a specific example?
If I have a third person plural subject (e.g. Les mesopotamiens), is my verb also third person plural and in the correct tense(Les mesopotamiens avaient---imparfait)?
If my subject is singular/plural nd masculine or feminine, is my adjective also plural/singular and masculine/feminine?
Did I mix up ont/on or a/à or ses/ces/c'est or ça/sa?
Is all my vocabulary in French? (verifie spelling and gender in an online dictionary, NOT an online translator).
Maths: reminder that there is a quiz tomorrow on finding the area of a circle. Please go over the review sheet to ensure you are comfortable with finding area (e.g. A = rayon fois rayon fois pi). Always check work (e.g. ask yourself: are the units written with the answer and are they units squared if it is area?)
Reminder: Please bring a printed copy of Sciences Humaines so that editing can be completed during class tomorrow (we do not have access to the computer lab so it must be printed in the library at lunch or be brought printed from home). If it is emailed to me, I can print it.

Important reminder: Gift Emporium is tomorrow. If you would like to purchase gifts at the emporium, please remember to bring money!
Remember to think about individual goal setting for the 5 practices which we will go over tomorrow during Advisory(e.g. adressing speaking in English in class, talking while instructions are being given, disruptive/hectic/loud eating time when being supervised by an EA, being encouraging and kind to others, not taking others things/sharing and working cooperatively etc.).

Maths: finish questions from page 151-152 (photocopied handout). Question choices are Group A: 1a,c, #4, #5, et Math + or Group B: #2a,b, #4, #7 et #8. We will do a review tomorrow and then have a quiz on Tuesday for finding the area of circles (including problem solving questions).
